It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Grammy-nominated band RÜFÜS DU SOL following their massive debut film, Live From Joshua Tree. Today they return with a stunning remix of their Rose Avenue label favorites, Lastlings. The Japanese-Australian sibling duo recently released their single, “No Time,” and RÜFÜS went to work putting their signature textured spin on it. This stands as their third rework ever and it lives up to the magic they always provide. The remix takes the already gripping track and embellishes it with emotive synths and arresting soundscapes.
Both acts share a history dating back to 2018 when RÜFÜS DU SOL discovered Lastlings early on in their careers. The trio later signed Lastlings onto their Rose Avenue record label. Since then, they have played an integral role in helping to develop and mentor Lastlings as musicians and touring artists. Furthermore, RÜFÜS DU SOL invited Lastlings on their SOLACE World Tour in 2019, commissioning them for last year’s “Solace” remix. The Grammy-nominated stars have now returned the favor with a poignant rework of their own on “No Time”.
