Sammy Bananas debuts ‘Someday’ LP

‘Someday’

Sammy Bananas is New York’s party fixture and resident funk-maestro of Fool’s Gold Records. After a number of original singles as well as a decade of EP releases and disco bootlegs, the producer drops his debut LP ‘Someday’.

Sammy Bananas

Bananas got his start with small blog-house edits. He has refined his sound to making remixes for acts like Chromeo, Tinashe, and Maroon 5. One to keep things funky, Sammy’s sound accomplishes a feel-good vibe with saxophones as well as 90s-house elements. Timeless and fun, ‘Someday’ also features several emerging collaborators. Artists like BOSCO, Kaleena Zanders, Dent May, and LaDonnis further contribute to Bananas’ cohesive album.

Sammy’s all-love approach extends to DJs 4 Climate Action, an environmental initiative he founded in 2012. Recruiting acts like  Duck Sauce, Soul Clap, and Anna Lunoe, the organization hopes to amplify the role of music in protecting our planet’s future.

In true celebratory fashion, Sammy Bananas also hosted a release album party on June 15. He performed his new work along with album collaborators such as Kaleena Zanders. With DJ sets from Nick Catchdubs and other FG favorites, the night was full of surprises and secret guests.
