ilan Bluestone is a London-based producer who joined Anjunabeats in 2011 with his debut solo release. Since then Bluestone has made a name for himself in the international dance music scene. He has released hits such as Big Ben, Spheres, and Bigger Than Love. He has performed at Madison Square Garden in NYC, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, and performed at Electric Daisy Carnival and Electric Zoo. Bluestone’s productions are also often backed by other international DJs such as Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, and Gareth Emery.
Bluestone is releasing a new album, Scars, this fall and will also take on his largest tour yet, starting in September. Bluestone just released the title track, Scars, to his upcoming debut album.
The single follows up 2016’s Bigger Than Love and recent Frozen Ground. The new single features singer/songwriter Giuseppe De Luca for the vocals. Scars is a mix between dubstep and trance and takes Bluestone out of the usual 4/4 beat for the first time, yet keeps his melodic sound. The track is dreamy and flows and ebbs as the beat amplifies. The vocals weave in with the beats and lead up to melodic bass drops.
According to Ilan: “Giuseppe and I started with a blank canvas for this one. I laid down some chords in the studio and Giuseppe spent some time writing lyrics with me in California. The style change happened fairly organically, there’s a lot of power in the words he wrote and I wanted the drama of the music to reflect that”, explained Ilan. “I’ve always tried to make music that leaves an impression on my fans and that was the inspiration for the record and ultimately the album”.
