Turkish twins Lunar Plane make Desert Hearts Black debut via Phantom EP

Desert Hearts Black welcomes Turkish twins Lunar Plane as the latest addition to its artist catalogue with the EP release Phantom. Earning support early on from the likes of Solomon and Tale of Us, the brothers have cultivated a commanding sound that dominates dance floors all over the world.

The two-piece slammer transports us to the depths of melodic techno, with brooding bass lines at the base of its foundation. Shadowy synths and a slow-burning progression coax listeners into a state of mysticism on the title-track. ‘The Lighthouse’ is a hexing fusion of industrial inflections and otherworldly soundscapes.

While the brothers have conquered the academic realm of America after graduating from Yale University with degrees in economics and biomedical engineering respectively, the pair looks onto claiming territory in the musical domain. Following the debut of the production partnership in 2014, Lunar Plane was quickly recognized by several leading imprints, such as Still Vor talent, Parquet and Steyeyoke.

Desert Hearts Black is the darker, melody-driven sub-label and event brand of Desert Hearts, founded by Marbs and Evan Casey. Although it only launched in August, the label’s debut release “Torus” earned the #1 spot on Beatport’s Overall Chart upon its release and has a premium artist roster with a discography to match.
