tyDi to release orchestral dance music album Collide
Australian songwriter, composer, record producer and DJ tyDi, née Tyson Illingworth, reinvents his sound once again with his forthcoming artist album Collide, set to release early 2018 via Global Soundsystem Records.
After 15 years touring worldwide and topping global charts, tyDi experiments with an unexplored realm with his latest orchestral dance music project.
tyDi’s latest project Collide presents an entirely undiscovered and unexpected sphere of sound, fusing together the worlds of electronic and orchestral music. A musician that has expressed interest in film scoring for the past ten years, tyDi enlisted two-time GRAMMY award-winning composer and seasoned vet Christopher Tin to help bring Collide to the masses. Together they were able to pull off the seamless fusion of electronic and orchestral music and yes; they got an entire orchestra.
“When you watch a film with an intense score, you’re swept away to a different planet. The atmosphere, emotions, melodies, and instruments captivate you. That feeling doesn’t always enter the dance realm. I wanted to capture that magic and bring it to the electronic world,” tyDi says.
Through 12 original tracks, Collide takes the listener on an unparalleled transport through sound to an unraveling musical story being told live in a theatre.
