Zeds Dead & Illenium – Where the Wild Things Are [RELEASE]

Are you ready for the collaboration of 2017? Zeds Dead are back, this time teaming up with Denver Colorado’s Illenium. “Where the Wild Things Are,” is a fusion of the best attribute of both artists. The tune features the melodic vibe that Illenium has become known for, and the signature hard hitting drops crowds around the world crave from Zeds Dead. After its big debut at Zeds Dead’s annual Dead Rocks show, this is one track that is sure to be a heater for the summer.
“It was a real dream come true to work on a track with Zeds Dead.” Illenium says, “They’ve been idols of mine since the beginning and I’m super stoked on how it all turned out. I really feel like it hit on both styles perfectly.”
Opening with a stirring raspy vocal song and a slow rolling guitar rhythm “Where the Wild Things Are” quickly grabs you and pulls you in. With a quick build-up the track evolves into a massive drum and bass filled Drop. At this point the fusion of their two very different styles is more evident than ever. The first drop is very bass heavy and focused on high-hats and kicks, while the second builds on it adding a melodic flow that makes the listener want to dance in synchrony with the beat.
Zeds Dead rose to local and then ultimately international prominence in 2009. They released free tracks on MySpace and founded a weekly party in their home city of Toronto Ontario, labeled “Bassmentality.” They have now amassed the support of dance music legends like Oliver Heldens, Diplo, and Dirtyphonics. The duos even shared the stage at festivals like Electric Forest, Ultra Music Festival, Warp Music Festival, Summer Set Music and Camping Festival, and many others. With the trail they’re blazing, it looks as though these two aren’t going anywhere but up. Check them and many other Deadbeats artist out on the Deadbeats 2017 tour taking place throughout the fall.
