Zeds Dead & Illenium Release “Where The Wild Things Are” Remix Package
“Where The Wild Things Are”
Canadian dance-music duo Zeds Dead and American DJ Illenium revamp their 2017 single “Where The Wild Things Are” with a 5-track remix package. The genre-bending remixes, released March 9, add even more flavor to the beautiful collaborative track.
Remix Package
Chuurch gets things started with their version of the track. Using the same vocals and bass rhythm of the original, the duo gets freaky when they drop with choppy lean bass, hinting at an old-school dubstep vibe. Toronto-based musician Dr. Ozi offers a high-energy remix. Starting at a slow-pace, it gradually builds before dropping with heavy synths and bass. He keeps up the intensity with deep synths and bass throughout the remix.
The package takes a swift turn as Golf Clap creates a deep-house version of fast kick drums complimented with funky bass and synths. Cozway keeps things interesting with the funkiest drop of the new year. Beginning with the original melody and vocals, it drops with synths so scratchy one can only imagine the DJ scratching a record to create the unique sound. The genre-smasher pushes boundaries even further on the final drop, but you will have to listen to experience the beauty.
Smalltown DJs bring the package to an end with another house version, although faster-paced than the previous. The electronic-duo adds high-energy beats and funky sound effects to leave any fan satisfied with the revamped edition of “Where The Wild Things Are.”
