SpaceCadet Announces Affordable Micro-Rentals in Austin, TX for SXSW Conferences and Festivals

SpaceCadet, a commercial real estate platform, just announced the availability of multiple local spaces available for micro-rental during this year’s SXSW conference and festivals. SXSW will take place in Austin, Texas from March 9 – 18, 2018. One can view the properties remotely from a desktop or mobile device. SpaceCadet utilizes drone and 3D scanning technology in an online marketplace. This allows for an immersive, convenient experience to virtually tour a space at any time.

About SXSW

This March will be the 32nd year of SXSW, a music, technology, and film festival. Additionally, SXSW will include over 350 sponsored events throughout Austin. The ten-day event will consist of technology shows, panels, and countless other immersive experiences. Last year, SXSW saw close to 80,000 engaged conference attendees. Estimates show that some of the local small businesses in Austin generated 20% of their annual income during this period.

The company is a cutting-edge commercial real estate platform, focused on supporting small business and local economies. The company has offices in San Antonio, Texas, and Oakland, California. SpaceCadet aims to stimulate urban renewal in communities and empower entrepreneurs, commercial brokers, property owners. In order to accomplish this, they work to streamline and simplify short-term commercial real estate transactions. Additionally, by activating communities and the properties within them, they seek to support economic growth, enhance collaboration, and nurture local ventures.

SpaceCadet finds affordable space for entrepreneurs as they work to validate their business models. The commercial real estate platform connects landlords with brands in need of space. This generates short-term income while stimulating urban economic development. Furthermore, this allows small businesses to take bigger risks with smaller economic repercussions.

SpaceCadet has multiple SXSW properties still available on their website. Among these are an art gallery, office space, parking lots, and a multi-level loft space with a rooftop bar. The company has already completed the leg-work by providing 3D property scans for brands seeking space.

Statements

Steven Quintanilla,  co-founder of SpaceCadet,  made the following statement:

SXSW has grown into a movement unto itself, where brands can enter with little to no recognition, and quickly generate quantifiable business benefits while standing at the threshold of cutting-edge technology

Entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of the economy. Building a business from the ground-up is arduous and success is not guaranteed. We have consistently seen unmatched ROI from businesses who have created a space around SXSW to showcase their brand and to entertain new and prospective clients.

We are thrilled to be leveraging SpaceCadet to support the small businesses and brands of SXSW, an event that has both professional and personal significance to me. SpaceCadet has bridged a broken system by increasing accessibility to commercial space and mitigating the risk of turning a dream into a sustainable business.
